My favourite manga, discovered the ovas during my chilhood watching the TV late at nigth, on some channel where they run Evangelion too, were good times… on some point I forggot about it, I was just 10 or so when I saw the animation, and the only thing I’d remember (it stay printed with fire in my soul) was Yugo being killed, I didn’t remember his name, but after asking in some forums, I finally found it.

I re-watched the ovas and inmediatly get the manga from a comic store, and I couldn’t believe how good it was, his cyberpunk visuals, focused on the underground society, the depth of the characters, the philosophical message after every Gally’s encounters, all the mystery build behind her and Salem, and the toughness and cruelty typical of the genere, that make it feel even more human, more real and emotive.

I couldn’t descrive it just with words, it’s more like a feeling you get when you read it, so I won’t add more words than the necessary. But let me tell you a short story, years before I re-discovered the OVAs, I had a poster on my walls, from a magazine called Nexus, on the poster you could read, Battle Angel Alita, and it had a nice illustration of Gally, I liked it to the point of wanting to see that comic or wathever it was, but I delay it from a week to another… In conclusion, maybe if I didn’t postpone everything for latter, I wouldn’t had come after all that trouble searching for it.

I wrote a similar post like this one a few months ago, but it was in spanish, and almost all of my followers speak english, so I make this, first, because I was reading again the manga, and I felt like it, and of course, to share it with all of you.
